– Rod Stewart, 60, will be a dad again. Stewart and fiance Penny Lancaster, 34, confirmed Wednesday that she is pregnant.

– 50 Cent has sued three video production companies, alleging they used interview footage without honoring an agreement to make a donation. The rapper alleges that he agreed to discuss a criminal named Kelvin Martin, who went by the street name 50 Cent, if the company made a donation to the Martin family or to Fitty’s charity. Czar Entertainment said the suit is “without merit.”

– “American Idol” winner Carrie Underwood and Coldplay’s Chris Martin are the leading contenders in the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals online vote for world’s sexiest vegetarian, msn.com reports. Peta.org is the place and winners will be revealed in July.

– Coldplay’s “X&Y,” to drop Tuesday, is expected to be a summer hit, but the Internet got there first. The BBC reported that an unauthorized version appeared online Monday, just before it was to be sent to British radio stations.

– Strawberry Field, the Liverpool, England, children’s home that inspired a Beatles song, has closed. John Lennon used to play there.

– Megan Mullally of “Will & Grace” has been signed by NBC Universal Television Distribution to host a nationally syndicated talk show. The one-hour show is set for a fall 2006 debut.

– While Dave Chappelle gets himself together, his fans are snapping up “Chappelle’s Show: Season 2 Uncensored.” The boxed set has broken the first-day and seven-day sales records for TV on DVD titles, Comedy Central said Wednesday. More than 1.2 million copies were sold the first week.
