Everyone keeps praising the Cubs for their current (as of this writing) seven-game winning streak, especially without Kerry Wood, without Mark Prior and without Nomar Garciaparra. No one seems to have noted they’re also doing it without the player upon whom Derrek Lee and Todd Walker heaped so much praise as a great guy and a great teammate: LaTroy Hawkins. Maybe someone should ask Lee and Walker how much Hawkins is missed now.
