If you had a 24-carat diamond ring, would you pass it around like a party favor?
Maybe if you were Paris Hilton, hotel heiress, reality TV star and fiance of a Greek tycoon–and if you happened to have a 15-carat white diamond ring as a backup.
Paris did such a thing at a dinner party in L.A., letting her friends try on the 24-carat canary-yellow rock, according to MSNBC gossip columnist Jeannette Walls. Each of her two rings is reportedly worth between $2 million and $4 million.
Walls said that when Paris was told that taking off an engagement ring is bad luck, she replied: “I don’t have bad luck.”
