– Hollywood fashion commentator Steven Cojocaru underwent surgery Monday for removal of a transplanted kidney that had become infected. Cojocaru is a correspondent for “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Insider.”
– Rupert Everett, whose co-stars have included Madonna and Julia Roberts, is writing his memoirs. Not yet titled, the book is scheduled for publication by Warner Books in the fall of 2006.
– Miss America’s got a date at last. Cable’s Country Music Television agreed to a multiyear deal to host the Miss America Pageant, which has been searching for a home since being dumped by ABC last fall. CMT is owned by MTV Networks.
