After reading Rick Morrissey’s June 29 column, I feel sorry for Jeff Kent. And his wife and family. I wouldn’t want to be related to someone with such a negative and ungrateful view of life.
My husband, in his job, also tolerates demanding clients, difficult co-workers and inconvenient travel. He also makes painful sacrifices but still manages to view his job and salary as blessings. Baseball is a business, and many, many businessmen work very hard for a fraction of Jeff Kent’s earnings.
