Sharon M. Uko, nee Sporlein, 59 year old resident of rural Pierz, MN, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at the Lincoln Park Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Buckman, MN. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Parish Cemetery in Buckman. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Chapel in Pierz. Sharon is survived by her husband, Stephen Uko; a son, Stephen M. (Andrea) Uko; daughters, Janet Uko and Ken, Valerie (John) Tobar all of Chicago, Illinois; a sister, Marlys Bucholtz of Pierz, MN and a brother, Robert Sporlein; eight grandchildren; preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Phyllis.
