Ken Kee Restaurant at 2129 S. China Pl. reopened for business on Thursday after inspectors yanked its license on July 1 for code violations.

The restaurant was cited for failing to have food properly stored and maintained at proper temperatures. Inspectors also found roaches.

Sheri Brazley, public information officer for the Department of Public Health, said the food storage violations weren’t enough to pull the license, because that problem could be fixed on the spot. But the infestation matter would take more time to address, and the restaurant had to be closed.
