Just a note to thank the Tribune for making Garrison Keillor a fixture on the Commentary page. His unique ability to talk about us, our commonality, those things that change and those that don’t refreshes my outlook and brings a pleasant thoughtfulness to my day.
His age-old need to inject his politics into speech and writing has never interfered with my enjoyment, just as it does not dissuade my listening to NPR. There’s a lot to learn from both even for a Libertarian with a conscience like myself.
