The news that White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove apparently identified Valerie Plame to a reporter as a CIA operative to retaliate against her husband’s criticism of the Bush administration was shocking. What’s more shocking than that, however, is that Rove still has a job. Unethical behavior that compromises the war on terror and America’s safety is apparently not a firing offense in this administration.
