Regarding the protocol for traffic stops, it dawned on me, having recently taken the Illinois written driving exam, that is one issue that is never covered.
What should a driver do when stopped by the police? Stay inside, or get out? Pull papers out of the glove compartment, or keep hands visible? Why isn’t this part of driver’s education?
