EVENT OF THE WEEK
An industrial corridor journey
“Assessing the Peterson-Pulaski Industrial Corridor,” a Technical Assistance Panel provided by the Urban Land Institute Chicago District Council and the Campaign for Sensible Growth, begins Tuesday.
The two-day event is hosted by the City of Chicago Department of Planning and Development in partnership with Ald. Margaret Laurino (39th) and the Peterson-Pulaski Business and Industrial Council.
Eight leaders in commercial and industrial development, transportation, planning and development, and architecture will evaluate and recommend steps to advance ongoing revitalization efforts in the industrial corridor on the city’s Northwest Side, which is bounded by Peterson Avenue on the north, Pulaski Road on the east, Bryn Mawr Avenue on the south and Rogers Avenue on the west.
The event starts with a reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Monasteros Ristorante, 3935 W. Devon Ave.
A public presentation on panel findings takes place from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at North Park University’s Hamming Hall, 3225 W. Foster Ave.
