50 Cent said he doesn’t hold a grudge against his one-time protege, The Game, but managed to sneak in a few verbal jabs at the same time.
Fif took his lumps from Game in a dis track that spans more than 15 minutes, MTV reports, but instead of beefing back, the Queens MC brushed it off.
“It’s a shame that it couldn’t actually be resolved in conversation, but other than that, I don’t have a problem with him,” Fif said at a recent Anger Management tour stop.
“I wish him the best with his career,” he said. “Hopefully he’ll be able to put together another album.”
That last remark hints at the bitterness underlying the whole feud–50 Cent has always said that Game’s smash debut album “The Documentary” wouldn’t have been a success without his help.
“They only know [Game] in an eight-block radius in his neighborhood,” Fif told mtv.com.
GLAM MAN: Ryan Seacrest in. P. Diddy out.
Although his Diddyness is a co-chairman of Marshall Field’s annual Glamorama charity event, he won’t be able to attend (but he did produce the video introduction for the show).
But the Aug. 12-13 music and fashion spectacle won’t be without some celebrity glitz. “American Idol” host Seacrest is among the stars scheduled to attend. He’ll be launching his new clothing line, the R Line.
MORAL SUPPORT: Lindsay Lohan said she is concerned for her mother Dina’s well-being as Dina begins what could be a contentious divorce trial with her estranged husband Michael.
“My mom has always been a great support, and she has put so much of her own life into my career,” Lindsay told People magazine. “I do worry about her.”
Lindsay said she is supporting her mother, who also is her manager, in the battle over the family’s assets. She famously told W magazine her father doesn’t deserve any of her earnings–or her respect.
She left the premiere of “Herbie: Fully Loaded” to be with her mother for the trial, which Michael Lohan is expected to attend despite currently serving a prison sentence. “I don’t think any girl wants to see her parents in this situation,” Lindsay said.
READY TO SETTLE? Michael Jackson and ex-wife Debbie Rowe may be close to reaching a settlement in their dispute over Rowe’s right to visit their two children.
Rowe agreed to give up visitation rights in 2001, but that was later overturned in court when her lawyers argued the agreement didn’t follow proper court procedures.
Jackson attorney Michael Abrams now says a settlement “is in sight” and that it “will be to everybody’s satisfaction.”
Meanwhile, the King of Pop reportedly has sold his first interview since his acquittal on child molestation charges to the U.S. version of British celebrity magazine OK!, sources tell the New York Post. OK!’s first issue, due on newsstands this week, features Jessica Simpson on the cover.
BABY TALK: Holly Hunter is pregnant with twins, people.com reports.
The 47-year-old actress and partner Gordon MacDonald are expecting, Hunter’s rep confirmed, adding that the sex of the babies is not known.
Meanwhile, singer Melissa Etheridge told TV tabloid “Extra” she and partner Tammy Lynn Michaels are planning for another child. Etheridge, who added in the interview that she is now cancer-free, has two children from a previous relationship.
Rumor control
Nick Lachey and Kelly Ripa took a broom to some rumors as they co-hosted the “Live With Regis and Kelly.”
Lachey, a guest co-host Wednesday, denied that his marriage to Jessica Simpson is on the rocks, and Ripa said regular co-host Regis Philbin isn’t getting the boot from the daytime talk show.
Lachey said everything is “absolutely wonderful” between him and Simpson. He also denied being jealous of Simpson’s career.
Meanwhile, Ripa told viewers not to read anything into Philbin’s absence. There have been reports that Philbin and Ripa don’t get along and that Philbin might be forced out. “Regis is not fired,” she said. “He’s just on special assignment. And we love each other.”
