– An architectural company is showing plans for a new terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Airport that has 26 gates and 50,000 square feet of retail space to open in 2008. It will be built on the site of the Davey Terminal, which is being demolished this fall. The project is expected to cost about $400 million.

– Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture organizers report attendance was up 7 percent from last year, with nearly 700,000 visitors at the weeklong event in Oshkosh, Wis. The EAA says there were 1,813 registered international visitors from 65 nations.
