This is regarding “Questioning Lance’s legacy; Cancer survival has little to do with heroism” (Perspective, July 31), by Joshua Charlson, regarding Lance Armstrong. Charlson’s piece is so wrong and offensive, I don’t have the energy (due to treatment) to start a list. How could such a sour grape-ridden piece get published in a major Midwestern newspaper?

I, too, wish I could get some fame or money or maybe just a kiss from Sheryl Crow for having cancer.

Having that easy, curable, testicular kind obviously has left Charlson to never have to dig a little deeper and get the meaning of Live Strong.
