By now you’ve heard about the plans to feature Texas Tech and Bobby Knight in a reality TV show surrounding the selection of one walk-on player chosen from a field of 16. The six-episode “Knight School” starts filming next month and airs on ESPN in the winter. You want more details?
– Producers say the show won’t have any fake “Survivor”-like obstacles.
– The production company’s previous shows include “Trading Places,” “Tattoo Crazy” and “Date Plate.”
– Fifteen players will be cut during the show, and the 12th-man roster slot is for the 2006-2007 season.
– ESPN says the show abides by NCAA rules, and no scholarship will be awarded.
For this reality show, we refuse to take it one game at a time and instead fast forward and play out all six episodes.
