John H. “Jack” Pierce, WWII Navy Veteran, formerly a resident of Elmhurst for 55 years, passed away on August 13, 2005. Beloved husband of Pearl D. Pierce for 63 years; devoted father of Jeffrey Pierce, Valerie (Dr. Michael) Leuck and Victoria (Craig) Collins; loving grandfather of Daniel Leuck, Dr. Katherine Bachman, Anne Marie Leuck, Laurel Hotchkiss, Rebecca Chuyma and Reid Collins; greatgrandfather of Kathryn and Megan Hotchkiss; brother of Norman and Robert Pierce. Mr. Pierce was a partner in the Pierce Electric Company, which was started by his father, J. Norman Pierce, in 1904. He was a member of Rotary/One Chicago for 25 years.
