CANINE MUSINGS
All paws on deck: Adults mingled, handing their dogs to volunteers manning the “Pup Deck”-a doggie spa complete with snacks, wading pools and plenty of water.
Fidos at the hip: Some dogs remained by their owner’s side the entire night. Naturally these owners wouldn’t entrust their dogs to . . . “just anyone.”
A dog’s life: A Brittany spaniel named Buddy, fresh off the disabled list, was having a great time after spending the last six months recovering from a torn ACL.
Food for thought: Waiters passed trays of appetizers strictly for the dogs: cheeseburger or chicken doggie treats. One guest mistook the doggie appetizers for the human kind. Gulp!
Woman’s best friend: Her kind boyfriend summoned a waiter over and promptly ate one of the treats himself. That should keep him out of the dog house for a while.
