Regarding letter writer Kevin Theis’ “Vacation records” (Voice of the people, Aug. 30), it seems to me that most reasonable people understand that an American president never escapes his responsibilities of office–whether he is in Crawford, Texas, Little Rock, Ark., or any other place in the world.
