– Mid America Motorworks holds its 12th annual Corvette Funfest Sept. 16-18 at its headquarters on U.S. Highway 45, 2 miles north of Interstates 57 and 70, in Effingham, Ill. More than 15,000 of the sports cars are expected for show, which will feature a Beach Boys concert. Registration costs $10. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 16, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 17 and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 18. Call 800-500-1500 or visit www.mamotorworks.com.

– Motorcyclists are invited to ride in Marklund’s First Annual Bike Run from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 17. The event will benefit Marklund, a non-profit serving the profoundly disabled. Bikers will begin at Woodstock Harley-Davidson, 2050 S. Eastwood Drive (Rt. 47), Woodstock and end at Marklund’s September Fest Celebration at 1S450 Wyatt Drive, Geneva. Registration, which is $30 for driver and $5 for passenger, is requested by Sept. 14. Admission to September Fest is free. Call 630-675-3438.

– American Legion Post 1084 will hold its 3rd annual Gifts to Yanks who Gave Poker Run Sept. 17. The run, to provide needed items from hospitalized Illinois veterans, starts with signup at 9 a.m. at the post, 344 E. Maple Ave., Roselle. The first group leaves at 10 a.m. The fee is $25. – The Wheels Rallye Team hosts its Famous Puzzler Rallye Sept. 17 to benefit the UPS for DownS, an non-profit that assists families with children with Down Syndrome. The rallye starts at 6 p.m. with registration at Woodfield Mall, just west of the Firestone Tire Center at light pole B-2, Schaumburg. Cars leave at 7:15. Fee is $25 by Sept. 14 and $30 after that. – In conjunction with the 6th annual Heritage Fest West Dundee, KJP Car, Truck and Motorcycle Shows will hold a show Sept. 17-18 at Main and 2nd Streets in the suburb.
