Horatio Hornblower is an odd name, but consider his siblings:

Azubia, Constantia, Jecoliah, Jedidah, Jerusha and Erastus. Staff and researchers at Britain’s Cornwall Record Office compiled a list of more than 1,000 odd names that go back to the 16th Century. Some of the strangest included Philadelphia Bunnyface, Obedience Ginger and Gentle Fudge.
