Usher doesn’t want to get caught up in a feud with Kanye West over what he says are false claims that he criticized Kanye’s comments about Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
“Contrary to false media reports, I did not urge or encourage anyone to ignore Kanye West,” Usher said in a statement released to “Access Hollywood.” “If it wasn’t for his comments, there would not be an open dialogue about the underserved people in the Gulf region.”
