Fred W. Peter, 86, Army Veteran WWII, of Norwood Park Home, formerly of Harlem-Belmont area of Chicago. Beloved husband of the late Rose, nee Miller; loving father of Diane Sunderhaus; proud grandfather of Bryan and Laura Sunderhaus; dear brother of Lillian (the late Leslie) Johnson and Raymond (Connie) Peter; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Fred was very proud of his service to his country. A decorated Army veteran; drafted March 11, 1941. He served with C Battery, 125th Artillery Battalion, 34th Division. Purple Heart recipient. Visitation Thursday form 9:30 a.m. at Norwood Park Home, 6016 N. Nina Avenue, Chicago, until time of Service 10:30 a.m. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery.
