About the only reasons I shop at Marshall Field’s are for good service and the “tradition.” Previous owners pretty much destroyed those things, so there’s really no reason to continue shopping at Field’s–I mean Macy’s. Now that Federated has taken the name, too, I’ll be cutting up my Field’s credit card and giving local merchants more of a try.
If I want to shop at Macy’s, I’ll fly to New York for the day.
