The pros get the first crack at the village’s fancy new Central Park Skate Plaza on Saturday.

Professional skateboarder Yannick Malek, a Canadian consultant who offered tips for building the $350,000 concrete skate park at Recreation Drive and Frontage Road, will help dedicate the 14,000-square-foot park.

He will glide over some of its seven ramps, five banks, eight rails, nine slide/skate benches, one platform, one jump ramp, two skate boxes, 26 ledges, 17 staircases, 23 steps and assorted other obstacles.

Park District officials say the village’s second skate park is unique because it allows great views of Central Park. Ceremonies begin at 9 a.m.
