Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
The Arena Football League doesn’t kick off its 20th season until January, so what could be going on with the Chicago Rush, you might ask?
Everything.
– Feel like you have what it takes to play? The Rush will hold an open tryout at 9 a.m. Oct. 15 at The Game Arena in Glen Carbon. Prospects must register by calling the Rush at 847-252-7334. The registration fee is $60 before Oct. 13; $70 after that date.
– EA Sports is developing an Arena Football video game, which will be available in stores on Feb. 7, two weeks into the season. It will feature 8-on-8 play, including six players who play on both sides of the ball, and be available in PlayStation 2 and Xbox formats.
The Rush plan to unveil a new mascot this week.
