If the city intends to crack down on jaywalkers for safety reasons, I hope it will pay equal attention to drivers.

It’s a daily challenge to dodge the cars rushing to turn through groups of people crossing with the light.

Drivers have little respect for pedestrians with the right of way.

I have even been flipped off while crossing with the light by an angry driver trying to make a turn.

It would also assist pedestrians if drivers didn’t stop in the crosswalk, further slowing pedestrians’ chance to cross legally.
