There is a chance the Sox won’t open until Wednesday. If Cleveland and Boston both win two of three games this weekend, there would the first double playoff in MLB history. Boston would play at New York on Monday to decide the AL East champ; the loser would play Cleveland on Tuesday. Cleveland would host the Yankees or travel to Boston.
