– Jeep is recalling more than 100,000 2005 Grand Cherokees because water contamination of the transmission fluid could lead to fires. 9-25-05

– Hyundai will recall 240,000 2004-05 Elantra sedans because the computer that operates the air-bag system could confuse a child seat for an adult in the front passenger seat and deploy front and bags in a crash. 9-18-05

– Ford is recalling 3.8 million 1994-02 Ford F-150 pickups and Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator and Ford Bronco SUVs to replace a cruise control switch suspected of causing engine fires. 9-11-05

– Toyota is recalling 978,000 4Runner SUVs, compact pickups and T-100 pickups built between 1989 and 1998 to repair the power-steering system. 9-11-05

– GM is recalling about 800,000 1999-02 Chevrolet and Tahoe and GMC Yukon and Yukon XL SUVs and Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups because corrosion is affecting the ABS. 9-4-05

– Honda is recalling 85,154 2005 Odyssey minivans because a faulty sensor for the front air-bag system could leep the warning light illuminated. 8-7-05

– Kia is recalling more than 118,000 2003-05 Sedona minivans because the throttle cable may stick. 7-31-05

– Nissan is recalling more than 125,000 2003-05 Murano SUVs because a broken wire in the alternator could deplete power to the engine. 7-24-05

– Toyota is recalling 345,000 2004-05 Sienna minivans because the seat belt may become difficult to retract when unbuckled. 7-24-05

– Mitsubishi is recalling 3,700 2006 Eclipses for brake problems. 7-17-05

– Volkswagen is recalling 39,583 2005 Jetta sedans with 2.5-liter engines because a fuel-line clamp may fail. 7-10-05

– Ford Motor Co. is recalling 10,061 2006 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs because the left-side tires may have damage caused by a piece of steel encountered in manufacturing. 7-10-05

– Toyota is recalling 11,592 2005 Tacoma pickups with bench seats because the seat-belt buckle sensor may not function as designed. 7-10-05

– Ford is recalling 180,104 2004-05 Super Duty pickups and Excursion SUVs with 6-liter diesel engines over stalling. 6-19-05

– Ford is recalling 78,675 2005 Super Duty pickups with 5.4-liter or 6.8-liter gasoline engines to fix fuel leaks. 6-19-05

– Nissan is recalling 49,200 2005 Sentras because a vapor hose in the fuel tank may not have been properly manufactured. 6-19-05

– Toyota is recalling more than 4,900 2005 Avalons because thesteering column on some early production models may not have been welded properly, and drivers could lose control. 5-29-05

– Kia is recalling 37,358 2003-05 Sedonas with alloy wheels. Moisture may accumulate around the steel cap that seals the rear hub and bearing assembly. 5-29-05

– Toyota is recalling 774,856 2001-04 Tacomas, 2001-02 4Runners and 2002-04 Tundras and Sequoias because problems with the front suspension could hinder steering. 5-22-05
