Move over, Star Jones; we’ve found a bigger diva!

A bevy of stars, including Drew Barrymore, her boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti (Cute couple alert!), Jeremy Piven and Wyclef Jean hosted a benefit for Katrina victims at a private residence in suburban Bannockburn. But as all the celebrities were graciously speaking with reporters, Lindsay Lohan blew past the media, saying she was “sick.”

Lohan proceeded to chain-smoke and drink from a wine glass at the event and refused to take pictures or mingle with guests who paid $1,000 to be there. One of the girls in Lohan’s entourage even harassed a guest for taking a picture because she thought the guest snapped it of Lohan. Turns out the guest didn’t know Lohan was there.

Lohan’s Hollywood peers seemed embarrassed by the “Mean Girls” star’s behavior and called her out. “If you want pictures, Lindsay Lohan is here, and she is very excited about taking pictures with you,” Piven said sarcastically onstage while he was thanking guests for coming out.

When Wyclef Jean rocked out, he didn’t hold back either.

“Lindsay, you asked for the plane, I got you the plane–smile, Lindsay, smile,” Jean rapped. After the diva bailed, Jean said, “The first one to leave [is] Lindsay Lohan, but I’m still rapping.”

Meanwhile, other stars stayed until the very end. Both Piven and The Strokes’ drummer Moretti hit the drums, and Barrymore, a true class act, danced on stage until the wee hours. Overall, the night was rated a success, and the celebrities helped raise thousands of dollars for the American Red Cross and Children’s Memorial Hospital for juvenile diabetes research and treatment.

On demand

Last season’s “Apprentice” winner, Kendra Todd, was recently looking for a Chicago hot spot to host an event she was having. A publicist for Todd sent an e-mail listing what an establishment would have to provide if Todd chose to have her event at their venue.

Here are just a few of the things Todd requested.

– A suite at a four-star (or higher) hotel

– Limo service

– A red carpet at the party with barricades

– Four bottles of alcohol for Todd and her “staff”

– Flat-screen TVs airing different interviews Todd has done

– Four “attractive” people to work the door

Meanwhile, the only request our Bill Rancic has when he appears at events is that proceeds go to charity. Todd could learn a thing or two from the original “Apprentice”!

Picture show

The Illinois Film Office had its Sweet Home Illinois party last Monday night in L.A. at the Universal City Hilton. The party was a success and met the objectives Gov. Blagojevich had in mind by having dozens of producers and actors discussing future projects that will bring more film business to the state. Some of the celebrities in attendance included Cubs great Ernie Banks and actors Jim Belushi, Joe Mantegna, Tom Dreesen and Nia Vardalos.

Sightings

Now that Fox’s “Prison Break” has been picked up for a full season of 22 episodes, the show’s stars, including hottie Wentworth Miller (right), were busy filming last week downtown, including at the Renaissance Hotel.
