Why stop with “intelligent” design as a response to the theory of evolution? There are too many contradictory, goofy, bad, difficult and just strange things in nature to default to “intelligent” as the design to explain everything that we haven’t or can’t explain. I would like to propose that we consider some other possibilities: semi-intelligent design, mediocre design, on-drugs design (my guess as the most likely), unintelligent design, etc.

My goal is not to offend anyone’s religious sensibilities, but if you want recognition in the field of science without abiding by the practices of how knowledge becomes accepted by the scientific world, then you are practically begging for ridicule.
