Lydia B. Gedroic, nee Blaha, 97, beloved wife of the late Bernard; loving mother of Daniel (the late Ellen) and cherished mother and very best friend to June (the late Ziggy) Sinclair; dear confidante of Ann Richter; proud grandmother of Debbie (Ray) Stevens; great-grandmother of Cody and Carson; fond aunt to a host of nieces and nephews; devoted friend and enthusiastic correspondent of cards and letter to many. Close companion to caregiver, Regina Osobka. Lydia was a survivor of the Great Depression who remained a free-thinker to the end. She was steadfast in the struggle for social justice and the downtrodden were her brethren. Nature walks, astronomy, science and gardening were among her pursuits. Her pet, Mickey, as well as numerous other cats and dogs over a lifetime, sustained her. Feeding wild birds was her daily passion.
