Sister Eustella Fau, BVM, 89, died Oct. 5, 2005 at Marian Hall, Dubuque, Iowa. Visitation will be Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Marian Hall Chapel, with a prayer service at 11:15 a.m. The funeral will be at 1:45 p.m., with burial in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Dubuque. Sister Eustella was born in Chicago on July 23, 1916 to Frank and Margaret Albrecht Fau. A graduate of St. Mary High School, she entered the Sisters of Charity, BVM in 1937 and professed first vows on Aug. 15, 1939. She was an educator at Holy Name Cathedral High School, and also in Rock Island, Memphis and Clinton and Dubuque, IA and a librarian and faculty member at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Sylvester; and brothers, James, Francis and Richard Fau. Nieces and nephews survive.
