It’s bad enough we don’t get a third season of “Chappelle’s Show,” but it’s even worse that we miss out on “A Day in the Life of Lil Jon, with Susan Sarandon.”
That’s no typo. Sarandon, in town for the Chicago International Film Festival, revealed that she and Chappelle taped a skit that, sadly, might never see the light of day.
“He did a skit about [how] once you get famous, then you can be in a movie with a movie star, and I played me, but I was in a negligee, and he was playing that crazy character that he plays who goes, ‘Whaaaat? Whaaaat?’ ” the Oscar winner told the Tribune’s Mark Caro on Thursday. “And we have a picture of me in bed with Dave with my boys on either side that I was going to send out as a Christmas card or something.”
She laughed. “He was so sweet and so together!” she said of Chappelle. “He didn’t tell me he was going to Africa and the whole season was going to go down the tubes.”
