George Cafcules, 81, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at his home in Orange Park, FL. Born in Chicago, IL, he retired as a Sheriff of Cook County, IL and served his country with the Army Air Corps, 8th Air Force during World War II. George was very active with the Masons and a member of the Medinah Temple in Chicago. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Audrey in 2003. Survivors include his daughters, Georgiann and Renee Cafcules; sons, Harry A. Sr. (Candace) and William (Anastasia) Cafcules; loving grandfather to Harry A. Jr., Stephanie, Christina, Amanda, Melissa, Nicholas George and Billy; loving great-grandfather to Nicholas Tyler Cafcules, age 2. A memorial service in celebration of his life was held on Thursday, October 6, 2005, which would have been George and Audrey’s 59th Wedding Anniversay, 11 a.m. in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations in Mr. Cafcules memory to Community Hospice of N.E. Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257. Mr. Cafcules will be inurned with his wife at a later date in Chicago, IL.
