Audrey Williams Baker, spouse of Elroy Baker, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2005. She was retired from Chicago City Colleges where she served as a Financial Aid Director for many years. Until her illness, she was an active member of St. Alibe’s Catholic Church, Operation PUSH, the Democratic Organization, alumnus of Chicago State University, the Woman’s Board of the Urban League and the First Honorary Member of the “Rat Pack”. Audrey owned Creative Advertising Products and Promotions, Inc. located on 75th Street for many years. She leaves to mourn along with her husband, Elroy; her mother, Edith Goode; son, Wayne (Erica) Williams Sr.; daughter, Kimberly Saunders Mallard; eight grandchildren; brother, Jeffrey D. (Loretta) Mitchell; sisters, Melanie Anewishki and Andrea Goode and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation and memorial tribute will be held at A.A. Rayner Funeral Home, 318 East 71st St., on Friday, Oct. 14, 2005 at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Ailbe’s Church located at 9105 S. Harper Ave., on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Oak Woods Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association.
