Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Sox pitching coach Don Cooper had a cup of coffee with the 1985 Yankees, managed by Billy Martin. Cooper sees many similarities between Martin and his current boss. “Ozzie [Guillen] reminds me of Billy,” he said. “After the game, he’s the guy you [writers] go to because he gives you enough to do your job, just like Billy did. That’s a good thing because it takes some of the heat off the players. When he’s in the room, you know who’s in charge, but at the same time you’re comfortable enough that you can go talk to him, about anything. But if you ask him something, be prepared for an answer you might not want to hear.”
