I can only wish that any of the Tribune editors who have written favorably of the O’Hare International Airport expansion go live in the area for a few months. The near gridlock on many roads is impassable in rush hours.
I recently moved after 42 years in Schiller Park to a suburb much farther northwest.
The air quality I experience now is such that I only have to change my furnace filters twice a year and even then they are only slightly discolored.
In Schiller Park the filters were black every couple of weeks.
After three or four days in Schiller Park, dust (dirt) was everywhere. I could write my initials in the dust collected on the TV screen.
Yes O’Hare has provided much for the business aspects of life in the area, but enough is enough.
