Robert W. Wardell, age 77, of Homewood, U.S. Naval Veteran aboard USS Valley Forge, beloved husband of Doreen Wardell, nee Kilb; loving father of Steven (Kathy) Wardell, Robert Wardell, Kathy Wardell and the late Deborah Wardell; dear grandfather of Emily, Joseph and Theresa; brother of Richard (Judy) Wardell; son of the late Isadore and Genevieve. Graduate of Lane Tech H.S. in 1945 and DePaul University in 1952. Retired in 1995. Former Comptroller for Gaw O’Hara Envelope Co., CFO for Malco Manufacturing Co., Winer Manufacturing Co. and V.P. at Henry Lee & Co. After retiring, Mr. Wardell volunteered as a Small Business Counselor for Governor’s State Univ. for S.C.O.R.E. Visitation Thursday, Oct. 13, 4 to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 18022 Dixie Highway in Homewood. Funeral Service Friday 10 a.m. at the funeral home to Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet.
