Mr. Ollie Bailey was born on August 23, 1920 in Madison, Mississippi to Clark Bailey and Olivia Thurman. Mr. Bailey was the fifth of six children. His parents, one sister and three brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Bailey was predeceased by his eldest daughter, Katherine Frazier and stepson Walter Jackson Jr. Ollie Bailey was united in matrimony to the late Willie Mae Hodges; to this union nine children were born, further, he was stepfather of two children. The Bailey family moved to Maywood in 1949 where he resided until his death. Mr. Ollie Bailey, a strong Southern gentleman, leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy; two brothers Sellers and Percy Bailey of Jackson, Mississippi; three sons, Ollie Leon Bailey (Jean), Michael Bailey and Sandy Bailey (Ramona); Seven daughters, Della Williams, Barbara Bailey, Wilma Bailey, Beverly Abbey, Gloria Adams, Connie Bailey Adams (Jeff) and Annette Crouch; 20 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Bailey fought a good fight – On October 9, 2005 God had determined he had fought long enough.
