Second City opens a new theater in Toronto on Oct. 14 with “The Second City Reloaded,” to be directed by Mick Napier. The all-new theater is at 51 Mercer St. and replaces Second City’s old locale. . . . Pegasus Players’ well-received production of August Wilson’s “Two Trains Running” has been extended through Nov. 20. As a gesture of respect to the late playwright, admission will be on a pay-what-you-can basis every Friday night. . . . Writers’ Theatre has persuaded Metra to give the Glencoe theater its own bar car for its Oct. 20 train excursion to see “The Uneasy Chair.” . . . Greg Vinkler will play Fagin and Kate Fry will play Nancy in the upcoming Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire revival of Lionel Bart’s “Oliver.” . . . Bob Kulhan’s “Shecky Kulhan: Theatre of the Mind,” a long-running show at I.O., has closed in preparation for a run in Los Angeles. . . . On Saturday night at the Victory Gardens, the Remy Bumppo Theatre Company is hosting a reading of the David Hare play “Stuff Happens.” . . . On Oct. 21, the Saint Sebastian Players opens its 25th anniversary season with J. P. Miller’s “Days of Wine and Roses.” . . . Even before it opens, “The Awesome ’80s Prom” has been extended through New Year’s Eve. . . . A holiday show is planned for the Storefront Theatre in the Loop. “500 Clown (sings) Christmas Carols” is billed as a pop-rock, clown show with “A Christmas Carol”-based songs penned by local composer/lyricist John Fournier. The piece will run Nov. 16 through Jan. 7. . . . The performance of “Bea Arthur in Concert–Just Between Friends” scheduled for Saturday at Governors State University has been cancelled due to illness.
