Let me jump on the bandwagon of those congratulating Jerry Angelo for yet another brilliant first-round draft choice. Gosh knows the Bears needed nothing more than a “bruising load” of a running back, and, by golly, now we’ve got one . . . like him or not.
Forget the fact that they needed a tight end, a (legitimate) left tackle, a pass rush, and a No. 2 wide receiver. We’ve got Cedric (the not-so-entertaining) Benson, a guy who seems to have the same respect for the football as former Bears “great” Rashaan Salaam.
