Sidney Terrell Jr., licensed barber for over 50 years and owner of the famous Terrell’s Afro Shop (featured in the movie “Barber Shop”), respected community leader in the Lakeview and Uptown neighborhoods for over 30 years and proud U.S. Army WWII and Korean War Vet., jazz enthusiast, passed away after a long fight with cancer. Beloved husband of over 30 years to Mary Louise Terrell; loving father of Ronald (Susie), Marlin and the late Von (Katherine) Terrell, CPD; very proud and loving Granddad of eight; dearest brother of Fred (the late Lois) and Claudia Terrell. A gathering of family and friends is being held Saturday, October 22, 10 a.m. to 12 noon (service begins at 10:30 a.m.) at Lakeview Presbyterian Church, 716 W. Addison, Chicago, IL 60613.
