This is regarding “A story of baseball, and life; Friends by happenstance, 2 men find a common purpose–and a shared strength–while coaching their sons’ Little League team” (Page 1, Oct. 8), by Tribune staff reporter Melissa Isaacson.
I was profoundly moved by this story.
As the team sponsor, I regret not having met these two coaches; it gives me a feeling of pride, however, to have been associated in some small way with Howard Ring and Ben Townsend, both of whom exemplified such wonderful values.
