A Sept. 23 article revealed that Chicago has been named “Dogtown USA” for being accommodating and overwhelmingly amiable for canines. This is the same city wherein barbaric dogfights are staged on a daily basis by savage criminals who are monstrously cruel to canines, cats and all innocent animals. It is the same city where politicians, clergy, and civil rights activists rarely, if ever, denounce the rampant abuse of animals. If atrocious dogfights continue to flourish in Chicago, the city cannot be commended for being canine-friendly.
