Marshall Field’s sales have been going downhill for a long time and that can only be attributed to the people of Chicago lacking interest in the store’s products. Only now that the name is being changed are people becoming angry and caring about the store. Too little too late. A name change will do the store good and possibly rejuvenate business. Macy’s is a bigger and better icon than Marshall Field’s ever was. And let’s remind ourselves, it’s a store, people.
