Florence Green, nee Fox, died peacefully on Friday, Oct. 14 at her home in Evanston. Her green eyes and spark- ling, warm smile are left as memories for those who loved her. She was predeceased by her lifelong love and companion, Ben; her youngest sister, Marion Echelman; and her son-in- law, Marshall Rosman. She is survived by her two children, Ken Green (Gigi Aronson) and Billie Rosman; her four granddaughters, Sari Green, Karyn Rosman (Eric Wilkinson), Jamie Rosman (Tim Gutowski) and Lisa Rosman Yu (Alex Yu); her four great-grandchildren, Kaela, Madeline, Benjamin and Jacob; her loving sister, Shirley Asnis; and her stepbrother and stepsister, Hy and Pearl Hirshfield. She will also be missed by nieces and nephews, along with untold numbers of friends who remember her quiet strength of character, concern for others, commitment to a better world and courage in times of adversity. While small in stature, her heart was big. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 20, 11 a.m. at The Weinstein Funeral Home North Shore Chapel, 111 Skokie Boulevard, Wilmette. Condolence calls will take place at the home of Lisa and Alex Yu.
