Chicago police have released a community alert and sketch for a man who sexually assaulted a 38-year-old woman near 50th Street and Washington Park Court Sept. 12.
The assault happened around 2:30 p.m., when the offender grabbed the woman from behind, forced her into a yard and down a basement stairwell, where he assaulted her. He then fled on foot.
He is described as a black male, 45, 5-foot-4 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a T-shirt, green and tan pants and white gym shoes. Anyone with information should call Area 1 detectives at 312-747-8380.
