Robert J. “Bob” Friedrich, age 84, WWII Coast Guard and Navy veteran, a resident of Oswego, IL, formerly of Naperville, IL; died Friday, October 21, 2005 at Provena Mercy Center, Aurora, IL. He was born December 1, 1920 in Naperville; he is survived by his wife, Josephine C., nee Hames, Friedrich; four children, Sandra (Irv) Brummel, James (Leslie) Friedrich, Mari Boan and Thomas (Janet) Friedrich; eleven grandchildren, Jacquie, Jim and Jennifer Brummel, Lindsey and Allison Friedrich, Brandi and Megan Boan, Jason and Jeremy Friedrich, Ryan and Kati Hill; eight great-grandchildren, Madison, Samuel, Hannah, Austin, Ashley, Jordyn, Alexis and Kaitlynn; two siblings, Kenneth (Shirley) Friedrich and Gertrude (the late Carl) Schmidt and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Alois and Rose Friedrich and a brother, Harold (the late Dorothy) Friedrich. Bob owned and operated his family’s retail fur business, R.J. Friedrich Furs, Chicago for many years. Visitation Monday, 4 to 8 p.m. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL. Services will begin Tuesday, 9 a.m. from the funeral home and will proceed to a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville. Future Inurnment: SS.
