Blake Asher Lewis, 16, was born on April 2, 1989, in Long Beach, CA. He passed away due to natural causes on October 20, 2005, at home in his sleep. He is survived by his parents, Jamie and Andrea; his sister Hannah, his brother Jared; and his grandparents Marvin and Faye Sadur. Blake was a sensitive but strong boy who enjoyed challenges and approached them with great enthusiasm and determination. He was a dedicated athlete. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and was regarded and admired for his inner strength and integrity. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 23, at 1 p.m. at Har Shalom/Green Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Ner Tamid of South Bay to dedicate in Blake’s memory a special section of the synagogue’s new Torah scroll.
