Ellsworth “Al” Marshall, 89, a Park Ridge, IL, resident since 1958, died Friday, October 21, 2005, at Edward Hospital, Naperville. He was born on May 6, 1916, in Howard Lake, MN. Al is survived by three sons – Robert of Naperville, James of Santa Barbara, CA, and Jeffrey of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren – Emily, Andrew, Katharine, Robert and Michael; a niece Debbie, a nephew – David; and sister-in-law Carol. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean (Tanquist) Marshall in 1961, his parents Guy and Olive (Klemz) Marshall and a brother Gaylen. Al worked as a District Sales Manager for Graco, Inc., a Minneapolis based manufacturer of automotive and lubricating equipment. Upon moving to Park Ridge, he founded the Al Marshall Company, based in Edison Park, IL, which represented manufacturers of service station equipment and supplies. Al was employed as a licensed real estate broker with Fred I. Gillick Company, becoming the first broker in 78 years to achieve “TWO MILLION DOLLARS IN SALES” for 1977-1978. Al was fondly referred to as “Coach” by his family and friends for his lifelong dedication and commitment to youth sports and his love for kids. Visitation Tuesday, October 25, 3 to 7:30 p.m., at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Funeral Services will follow Tuesday, 7:30 p.m., in the funeral home with Rev.
